Caliban is a 4yo Irish Draught Sports Horse stallion by the highly respected and super versatile G1 IDSH stallion Cos Me Is Black, out of a 'black type' Beowulf (Cruising) x Clover Hill mare from an incredibly strong performance dam line that has produced showjumpers to 1.60m and eventers to 4*. A true Irish Draught Sports Horse!

Caliban has already won mare-owners over with his exceptional temperament, presence and quality. He currently stands at 15.3hh with just under 9 inches of good quality bone. He is a lovely, active mover, light on his feet and athletic over a fence with plenty of scope. More importantly, he has an incredible temperament that you would struggle to find in any horse, never mind a stallion. He has a wonderfully willing and trainable attitude with a heart of gold and the sweetest most affectionate nature, you would feel comfortable letting him babysit the kids. Absolutely anyone who meets him falls in love with him.

An obedient, balanced and responsive ride, he has been incredibly easy and trainable in his early education under saddle, taking everything in his stride. Following a successful first stud season Caliban has been gaining mileage under saddle as he nears the end of his 4yo year. He has been gaining consistently improving dressage scores, drawing great encouragement from showing judges, behaving impeccably on hound exercise, leading the way out hacking and on group farm rides, enjoying cross country schooling and just generally having a go at everything with a big smile on his face. Caliban is showing himself to be a truly versatile multi-purpose stallion. You can follow his progress on our Facebook page.
